FREE AGENCY
Now that aside. I will discuss a few of the big name free agents/trade rumors.
My favorite - Percy Harvin. There is not a more talented, completely selfish, full of himself, complete ass hole, but will catch 73% of his passes, Wide receiver out there today. He is due a measly salary next year, and he understands something that the Vikings don't... Christian Ponder sucks. Percy understands he cannot win a Super Bowl when their best pass play is a constant onslaught of bubble screens to the most talented player on the team (Yes he is more talented than Adrian Peterson, just wait until he makes it to the 49ers). Percy is constantly being forced to do everything for this team and it poses a huge injury risk... This kid will end up on a team like the niners, patriots, Jets maybe even the Dolphins (Although I think the first three are the ones) and he will be a star... because he will have a QB. OMG did I just say sanchez is a QB? yeah, he is a better qb than ponder... Ponder is awful. Can I say it again? Fucking awful... This will be the player to watch this off season.
Because Ponder sucks... he sucks meme man.
Osi Umenyurlastnameistoohardtospell - He will be a Falcon... I would probably bet my left pinky finger on it because that is just what is going to happen. The Falcon's cut their entire team, says every stupid Falcon fan who doesn't understand that they just took out the trash and are making seriously positive moves for their team. Ray Edwards and Abraham were not the options to rush the passer, they were too old. Osi brings youth and the ability to force fumbles, and play faster than the other two... he will make Brent Grimes look better, and Dunta was a liability in that secondary too.
Revis - Fuck that guy. I think he is overrated and he wants $18 million a year? Are you fucking kidding me? I pity the stupid team that overpays that ass hole. I will name 10 corners I would rather have. Lardarius Webb, Brandon Carr, Brandon Flowers, Jonathan Joseph, Peanut Tillman, Richard Sherman, Carlos Rogers, Champ Bailey, Patrick Peterson, Joe Haden... did I say he was better? No but these guys all cost about half of what Revis wants... and I don't think he is twice as good. Hey Darelle Revis - Go fuck yourself.
Mike Wallace - Fuck that guy. I think he is overrated and he wants $17 million a year? Are you fucking kidding me? I pity the stupid team that... oh hey sounds familiar... Mike Wallace is an ass hole, he is not a team player and he was offered a very good contract by the Steelers last year only to turn it down and play like a stupid ass hole all season. He is a one trick pony and I don't consider him an elite receiver... but hey what do I know? I just know I never drafted him in fantasy football to be disappointed by his less than stellar performances... I bet he goes to the Dolphins and hopefully Tannehill can set him straight or he will be a hassle for years to come.
Greg Jennings - You think you are worth elite receiver money? Dude you are made of glass... Samuel L Jackson in Unbreakable was more durable than you... The Packers will let him shop the market and he will either run back and sign a reasonable deal, or some stupid team like the browns will sign him to an all star overpaid deal and he will yet again limp his way down the field all season.
Steven Jackson - This guy has more miles on him than a girl at the bunny ranch in vegas. He has 2,500 career carries, which is around 1,000 more than anyone else who is a notable starter and I don't see him as worth more than a year old rental. For those of you saying OMG WOW I HOPE WE GET STEVEN JACKSON! shut up, he is old and he isn't worth it... I see him going to the Falcons for a year to try and get a super bowl and then retiring. Oh and news flash? he isn't a back field passing threat... just check his statlines he has like 400 career receptions so stop using that to say how awesome he is.
Danny Amendola - This is a huge value receiver, but I see him making his way back to the Rams because he has a solid relationship with Sam Bradford. Nothing funny to say about him, I respect him as a receiver and think he plays really hard.
Welker - Superrrrr surprised he didn't get tagged... which leads me to believe the pats might make a run at another slot receiver like Percy or Amendola (which would be super fucking fuck ass stupid...) The Pats would be incredibly stacked if they could sign either of those players, although I imagine it would take them a year or two to get the learning curve. But I ultimately see welker ending up with the Pats again, and possibly even signing before FA opens up.
Brent Grimes - Don't get your hopes up everyone... why do you think Dunta got released? This shippensburg boy will make his way back to the A T L.
Jake Long - God damn I would love to see him protecting Flacco and opening up holes for Ray Rice, but it seems the Dolphins know something everyone else doesn't because they didn't tag him... He might not be healthy enough to play at the elite level he started at, but I imagine he will draw top 5 LT money in the FA and get way overpaid if he is in fact hurt.
Paul Kruger - This guy will get WAY overpaid in the free agency by someone like the Browns, or the Colts but hey... he got his 9.5 sacks last year not even playing every down and he is a vicious pass rusher he just doesn't have the stamina to see the field all the time, or the run blocking ability.
Cary Williams - Fuck that guy too, he wants too much money and he had a huge habit of letting the big receivers have big cushions and picking up first downs... he may have played a little better at the end of the season but I just don't think he plays physical enough with the big guys to deserve the 7,8,9 million he wants.
Dashon Goldson - This guy is going to get a pretty penny as he is definitely a top safety now, unless he starts playing as bad as he used to... I see him making his way to the Pats if Ed Reed doesn't.
Ed Reed - please just sign back with the Ravens man... C'mon man... I would cry to see him in a Pats jersey but it is entirely possible...
All the other OT/OG/Dlineman - there are plenty of valuable ones this year, but no one wants to hear about them anyway. A lot of them have been tagged, especially the top ones from the Broncos, Chiefs, Dolphins (starks not long).
Free Agency is going to be awesome this year! Good luck to all your teams, and get ready for mayhem on the 12th!! 4PM!!!
